DevOps automation has flourished in the past year. With DevOps being the power driver for growing software enterprises and startups, automation now shoulders more crucial roles as an accelerator to improve software development lifecycles and make it easier and faster for software teams to meet customer demands.

In the past year, Opsera stayed ahead of the curve, providing users with true automation functionalities that enable them to work seamlessly and productively. In 2021, we’ve been busy putting together an ecosystem of tools, integrations, and the innovative approach and the exciting product updates, we believe will help empower software teams to accelerate the software delivery process across various use cases (SDLC, SaaS and IaC) with our no-code Continuous DevOps Orchestration Platform.

Technological changes, on-demand releases and ever-changing business demands are making the software delivery management journey complex. Enterprises running in the cloud are running their workloads across EC2, containers, serverless/functions and using microservices. Managing software delivery across all of these complex environments is cumbersome and challenging.

According to Gartner, through 2023, 90% of DevOps initiatives will fail to fully meet expectations. The promise of DevOps was that it would encourage better collaboration and communication in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Clearly, it has not been realized by most organizations. Gartner reports that more than 75% of organizations do not feel their DevOps efforts have met expectations. This is costly — not just because undergoing a DevOps transformation is a big investment upfront, but if DevOps isn’t delivering on it.

To help companies with their digital transformational journey and improve the overall maturity of DevOps, we fine tuned our platform to help them solve challenges like increasing costs, fragmented teams and data, and explosion of disconnected tools.

Our team has been laser focused on laying strong foundations for what we believe will be an essential platform for any software business looking to automate the software delivery management and to adopt DevOps in more streamline manner to improve the productivity, security, quality and provide the end-to-end visibility across the DevOps landscape.

Here’s our in-depth 2021 recap - new customers, visibility on the most popular marketplaces, product updates, and more.

Funding

Kicking off the year with a bang, Opsera raised $19.3M in funding to lead continuous orchestration of DevOps and software delivery.

At Opsera, we believe enterprises should be empowered to deliver software faster, safer, and smarter. So our engineering team spent more than a year conducting extensive studies, testing in different cloud environments, and designing countless prototypes. With our sales and marketing team distributing the efforts of our software team, and grabbing attention of companies that would benefit from our no-code orchestration platform, we knew we were in the right direction.

In 2021, we set two major goals: gain brand awareness and drive adoption. As the year went by, we expanded our user base across industries including retail, finance, technology, and manufacturing.

Along with this, Opsera is now available in the AWS marketplace. Through this exciting partnership, we’ve made it easier for AWS customers to use and implement Opsera’s no-code DevOps orchestration platform for software release and IaC automation.

In addition, Opsera partnered with HashiCorp to strengthen cloud security practices for DevOps teams. With this integration, Opsera users can not only leverage the already built-in security functionalities and practices in place, but also use a dedicated instance of HashiCorp Vault provisioned in their own dataplane.

Major Product Updates

After several months of development, we presented the first large update to the Opsera platform. We extended our no-code DevOps orchestration platform to Salesforce release automation. This fueled software delivery teams to build robust, secure, and scalable declarate CI CD pipelines in a more streamlined manner. With built-in quality and security measures in place, Opsera accelerated each stage of the Salesforce development, integration, and deployment for users.

To ensure our customers use their data in ingenious ways to make better decisions, we built a centralized dashboard to measure over 100+KPIs with actionable intelligence across Planning, Pipelines, Security, Quality and Operations.

The results? We significantly cut down software delivery cycles, enhanced pipeline security and quality, reduced operational costs, and aligned software delivery to business outcomes.
